School Start First Impressions is an initiative of Addenbrooke Foundation which is the umbrella registered charity which has been established to pursue various charitable objectives in the community.
School Start First Impressions (SSFI) purpose is to celebrate the child, to give the child an experience, as well as prepare them for their first year at school.
SSFI's aim is to place the child in the centre, to demonstrate their importance to their family, to their school and their community.
We acknowledge beginning school as the first major step for a child, the first steps towards education and independence and the first steps the child takes towards becoming a person making their way in the world.
Turning 5 is an important time in a child's life and in our opinion education should be embraced and enjoyed. We believe that children who are set up with all the necessary elements to start school are much more likely to embrace learning.
In our opinion we are doing our best to prepare our young citizens for a bright future.
With the recommendation of our referral agencies and community support, we hope to deliver 150 of our 5KitBox boxes in 2016.
